A lukewarm state of mind

It certainly feels good to be doing things that I love.

Life had been so pleasingly enjoyable.

For this reason, i do not wish to burden myself with heavy responsibilities so soon.

That will come when me & the boyfriend actually got the keys to our house in 2 years’ time.

On a lighter note, I’ve been visiting cafes during the weekend.

I have to admit i love visiting cafes, especially those hidden ones.

Because they are often unknown to the mass crowd and brings tranquility to the surrounding.

I always adore the idea of transforming part of my house into a little cozy cafe.

Where I can snuggle up to read a heart-rending novel while sipping tea from the whimsical tea set.

A comfort zone where I can take refuge to feel revitalized again.

Comforting. Warmth. Cuddled Up.

Brought the boyfriend to Pique Nique.

The brunching continued with the recent Sunday with my family to 1 Caramel @ Rochester.

It was a pity that we didn’t managed to scout around the area because it was raining.

But we did had a hearty breakfast.

I’m glad we could make time for some laid back moments in our crazily engaged environment.

I’ll be back for more…soon(:

Epitome of life? I reckon there is none.

Time unmistakably whiz past so darn fast.

In 2 years’ time, the boyfriend and i will be getting the keys to our cozy nest.

And by then, we’d already tied the knots.

Its like a 50-50 feeling for me, anticipating yet distracting.

Anticipating; we’ve got a nest of our own and living life blissfully together.

Distracting; the fact that bills and responsibilities piling up are no fun at all.

Being labelled as ‘The Strawberry Generation’ aka草莓族 – youths nowadays as being overly sheltered and unable to withstand challenges in life.

We really wonder how on earth our parents did it.

Here i am inevitably implicated into this phase of life, just like our circle of friends.

Where wedding bells are on our cards, careers just got kicked off & starting to be aware of the socio-political issues.

The topics we are found to be discussing, take a seemingly unacquired turn.

I am gradually blending into the working society; for survival in this ever-increasing inflation society.

On a lighter note, we would cross path with people of all sort and gain invaluable knowledge that cannot be imparted from years in school.

I am armed with an objective of injecting some fun now & then, into my current mundane 5 days work week life.

Because I’m gonna slog this way for many days, months & years to come.

Unless really… an apocalypse occur.

A brand new embarkment

It’d been quite some time that i write.

I am entering into a new phase of my life- the work society.

It took me not very long to secure a job and i am please that i got the current job i am in.

It fits totally into my ideal one; non desk-bound, pure marketing and at the CBD area.

Moreover, my manager is a super nice guy who is willing to guide me along as i progress.

What more can i ask right?

Aside to this, I am pretty enjoying what’s in my life.

Recently, i took up yoga lessons with my mum and its back to the mother-daughter pair, just like in those time in dragonboating.

I am blessed to be doing this with my mum because not everyone could have.

Before i got a job, was helping my cousin with the Viral Factor movie gala with Jay Chou.

The boyfriend’s fave idol.

Anyways, just last Sunday me the boyfriend went to the Ramen King at Illuma after hearing much from my bro.

The thing is he dint warn me about the portion of the ramen.

In the end, the boyfriend ordered a XXL bowl of ramen and me ordering the regular one.

It was pretty gelate, given the flour made noodles.

And we head down to Vivo for a gala ‘The Wedding Diary’, starring Ah Niu.

My brother had gone to Thailand for training and will be back on Monday.

Missed talking to him.

Wells, that’s all folks.

Will write in soon(:

In the midst of everything

I spent my days doing stuff at my own will  as and when i’d like.

Somehow i love the way things are going now.

Quiet. Peaceful. Comfort.

But ultimately too much of everything makes one sick.

So i’d better appreciate all these happenings in time to come.

Lingering at home may not be such a bad thing.

The indulgence in more sappy korean drama, free-flow of fiction & non-fiction books and trying to pick up the Korean language.

And the fact that i’ve forgotten the Japanese language i’ve learnt, makes me think how great it’ll be to have a native friend to converse with me frequently.

As the saying goes: ‘Practise makes perfect’.

Not to mention, i’ve managed to secure some interviews this week.

Jitters at the though of it.

Apart from these, i did some catching up with the BFFs to celebrate Zak’s birthday.

It was at Pique Nique.

The typical burger & fries.

And last saturday, the boyfriend and I saw us heading to Strictly Pancakes right after gym.

It was awfully sinful if you were to gobble down the Sweet Pancakes all by yourself.

Luckily for us, we shared the guilt.

Chocolate shake for the boyfriend.

Black Forest Pancake; look at the amount of chocolate.

Maple syrup and herbs&garlic butter to go with the savoury beef patty pancake ordered.

Price was mediocre but maybe one would find it a little too pricey for pancakes.

I’d definitely go back again(:

Time to put a halt here.

And let’s just count down to CNY although i’m not a huge fan of it; in prolly 1 week’s time.

Year 2011 is gonna end this way in my life.

It’s those who matter, will be imprinted in my memories.

I am determined to live life just the way I wanted and to cherish people around me in the year to come.

May all be blessed and live a healthy life in 2012(:

Jingles all the way

I hate to say this but time is zooming past faster than ever.

And because it’s only 4 days away from 2012.

I’ve had enough celebrations (filled with eatings) as of now.

Those eatings really was sinful and putting on the pounds was almost inevitable.

Accompanied with the rainy weather everyday, it’s hard to make myself run.

Well, time to put on those running shoes for the new year.

Yesterday marks Justin’s wedding at Marina Mandarin.

The atmosphere was pretty hyped with the vibrant concept to it.

Not to mention, it was a joyous gathering for most of us.

Photo albums are past tense, iPads are for now.

Such a cute couple.

Have a blissful marriage, Justin(:

We saw ourselves preparing home-cooked food and taking orders for Christmas Eve.

It was certainly a cozy family affair.

And we had Christmas lunch at Park Hotel Clarke Quay.

Not your usual expected buffet crowd because the cafe only holds limited capacity.

But it surely beats having to squeeze with those crowd.

However, the buffet spread can be improved.

Plus point is albeit the limited spread, the quality of food is good.

Maybe it brings us back to the ‘Its the quality that counts’ notion.

My mum was so happy when she asked Santa for some candies.

Backtracked a little, I had my birthday treat with the boyfriend and my mum at Sakuraya Fish Mart.
